Marina of the Year Entries

All Marina members of the Marina Association of Texas with confirmed Clean Texas Marina status are eligible to enter the 26th Annual Awards Competition, except those winners from 2014 and 2015.

Since 1990, when the first awards were presented, the 51 Marinas chosen have really been “All Stars”, providing outstanding facilities and services for their boating clientele.

This year we have two categories:

Category 1 - Under 350 Slips

Category 2 - 350 Slips and Over

We want to encourage all Marina members to enter this competition.  It is a golden opportunity for you to earn widespread publicity, but more importantly your boaters will realize the outstanding facility that you provide for them.

Applications are due June 30 2016 and may be completed online or printed and mailed to:

Marina of the Year Awards
Marina Association of Texas
P.O. Box 490
La Vernia, Texas 78121

The two winners will be announced at the 44th Annual Conference, November 6-9, 2016, at the Granbury Resort Conference Center in Granbury Texas.

The evaluation is based on overall appearance, quality of facilities and services including launch facilities, food service, ship’s store, gas dock, service and repair area, docks, recreation areas, and special awards for service, promotions, civic affairs, employee recognition, as well as unique community service or educational programs.

The idea is to put your best foot forward in your award application.  The Selection Committee will evaluate the application and if necessary, conduct an on-site evaluation of each project nominated.  You want to place emphasis on quality – services, facilities, staff and the most important quality of all – professional management.

Get the recognition you deserve for your Marina and the hard work that you put into your operation.  Send your 2016 MAT Outstanding Marina Award application in today.  YOU COULD BE A WINNER IN 2016!
